Exhibition: Stories From The Pandemic
A lasting testimony from Sheffield
Sat 25th Feb - Sun 5th Mar 2023, 10am–5pm (Sun. 11am–4pm)
Millennium Gallery, Sheffield, Free Entry
Hosted at Millennium Gallery, ‘Stories From The Pandemic: A Lasting Testimony From Sheffield’ will celebrate small acts of kindness and remember those we have lost through exhibits and experiences housed in a ‘lockdown home’.
We are all living through a historic global event. No community or individual has been untouched by the pandemic.
This 10 day exhibition, set in rooms of a ‘lockdown home’, draws from the extensive range of stories that have been gathered during the project. Discover the interactive exhibits throughout the house via TV, radio, coffee tables and pictures on the wall. These will form a lasting testimony and historical record of the pandemic’s impact on individuals from Sheffield and our communities.
There will be a free programme of creative workshops and Compassionate Conversations to offer people a chance to reflect, share their stories and build confidence to support others through hard times.
Stories from the Pandemic is a city wide project in partnership with Opus, Compassionate Sheffield and Sheffield City Council. Furniture kindly donated by Emmaus.
As we learn about each other's lives we can lay the foundations for a Compassionate Sheffield.
