Burncross Action Team installed three new benches in the Recreation Ground behind the Acorn, to replace existing seats which were tired and worn out. This has created a quiet space for reflection and contemplation.

Each bench has a plaque that outlines a different aspect of the pandemic:

1. The Covid-19 pandemic challenged every age group, but we valued friends, neighbours, family and our local countryside.

2. Burncross thanks the essential workers who nursed, cared and sustained us and remembers those who were casualties of Covid-19.

3. The hope is that the technical and scientific gains will improve the health of future generations.
