“We had little opportunity to leave our house during the pandemic lockdowns. I felt there was a sense of loneliness in the community, so during daily exercise I would dress up in superhero costumes and tailor routes and routines to pass outside local hospitals and nursing homes. The joy on people’s faces was wonderful. On two occasions I was stopped by the police, but what I thought was for questioning turned out to be a photo opportunity for them.”
